In 2007, I sent an email that would eventually lead to something big. That email was the first step in the creation of WooThemes and WooCommerce, which have gone on to become major players in the world of eCommerce.
Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with Mark and Adii, my two co-founders of WooThemes and WooCommerce, about the origins of our company and what we’re up to these days. The conversation was recorded and turned into a podcast, which was hosted by BobWP on his “Do the Woo” podcast.
In the podcast, we discuss how our initial idea for a lifestyle business eventually evolved into WooCommerce. We also talk about the challenges we faced along the way, and the lessons we learned as we built our company from the ground up.
Today, WooCommerce is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms in the world, powering over 5 million websites. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished.
